Welcome to the Sustainability Education Center

The vision of The Preserve at Lakewood Sustainability Education Center is to provide a unique, hands-on display of the critical, earth-saving power of land conservation as well as wind and solar for school-aged children and the general public. The Sustainability Center is a critical component to affecting real change toward the goal of transitioning to the use of renewable energy resources now and well into the future. 

 With the extensive growth in the Upstate, we believe that now is the time to advocate and educate, thereby creating a new normal in terms of knowledge of and demand for alternative energy production. The overall plan includes public outdoor use, education, and enjoyment as well as field trips in conjunction with Greenville County Public Schools, and future expansion to schools throughout the Upstate.
