Our mission

The Preserve at RiverWest

Our mission

To preserve beautiful land while providing the community with unique space for outdoor recreation and education

Green Space is Critical In Rapidly Growing Cities

Hank Didier speaks to WYFF 4 about the Preserve Parks, the Sustainability Education Center, and the need for conservation in rapidly developing cities.

ABOUT US

Who We Are

The Preserve Parks are two parcels of conservation land in Greenville County open to the public for use and enjoyment with prior authorization.

What Will I See at The Preserve at RiverWest?

Once you turn off of Hwy 123 you immediately feel as if you've left the city. Surrounded by streams and canopied trees, you can spend hours exploring the winding paths and myriad of birds, plants and flowers.

What Will I See At The Preserve at Lakewood?

The Preserve at Lakewood offers dirt trails and paths made permanent by the hundreds of area students who run Cross Country events there.  Drive past the gate to the Sustainability Education Center, peruse the walls full of information, and take a stroll around the "Spaghetti Loop".

When and How Can I Enjoy the Parks?

For the safety of our guests, visits are by appointment only. To contact the Manager for access to either park, please use the Contact Us page or email us at Manager@ThePreserveParks.com.

Other Frequently Asked Questions

There is no cost to enjoy the parks or plan an event on the property. However, visitors do need prior authorization and a liability waiver is required for all guests.
